Previous work experience

After obtaining my degree, I moved to Quito, Ecuador where I taught 4th grade at an international school. Before coming to Rise Academy, I taught 5th grade in Albemarle County at an English/Spanish immersion school.

Favorite thing about working with students

I love to see the moment when a concept finally “clicks” and students understand what they’re being taught. Even if I have to explain it 200 different ways, it’s always worth it when they get there.

When I’m not working, I enjoy:

Cooking, watching reality tv, and hanging out with my husband and pets

I’ve lived in three different countries and hope to add more in the future!
