Rise up
Rise Academy embraces a holistic approach to athletic success, focusing on the overall development of student-athletes both on and off the field of play.
We aim to foster athletic excellence, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and support the personal growth and academic success of our student-athletes. Rise Academy is a recognized Division 4 school participating in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA).

Basketball
Home games
Home games will be held at Anna Julia Cooper School, located at 2100 N 29th Street, Richmond. No outside food or drinks are permitted.
Tickets
Tickets will be available for online purchase only (no cash sales). Fans can purchase tickets online or by scanning signage at the ticket gate. All major credit cards are accepted, along with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Fans can easily access and share tickets by email or text without standing in line.
$5 Rise Academy Student / $10 Adult

There are limited seats available, so ticket sales may be unavailable at the door if we are at capacity.
Clear bag policy
Only clear bags are allowed inside.

Boys Varsity Basketball
Our boys varsity basketball team competes against other metropolitan Richmond and Virginia varsity teams. The season goes from November to March and includes regular season games plus playoffs.

Cheerleading
Our cheer squad strives for academic excellence, provides school spirit, shows great sportsmanship, and demonstrates leadership for our school as we cheer our basketball team to victory.
