Previous work experience

Before Rise, I was a Head Start teacher preparing students for Kindergarten. I also have over a decade worth of out-of-school activities and summer camp experience.

Favorite thing about working with students

Everyday is a surprise even if it goes exactly as planned. We watch and help students grow and that means being reintroduced to a more mature version of each student every few weeks. Watching them absorb information and problem solve is a privilege.

When I’m not working, I enjoy:

Taking my dog to the park or watching old Laker highlights.

Fun fact

I taught myself how to drive stick-shift (manual) as well as juggle.
