Previous work experience

I taught both math and English at the high school and middle school levels from 2016 to 2022. Most recently, I worked as the editor for a small print and digital magazine called Circuit Cellar.

Favorite thing about working with students

I love the unique and fresh perspective that every student brings to the classroom. It makes every lesson a different experience, even if I have taught the subject before. It's a cliché among teachers, but I honestly feel like I end up learning more from my students than they do from me.

When I’m not working, I enjoy:

Being outside with my family. I'm also an avid reader, I love running, and I'm a big fan of music and movies.

Fun fact

I love sailing. I've sailed in races before, and know my way around a variety of boats—from Sunfish, to Snipes, to Tartan Tens. (Sunfish are the most fun to sail, in my opinion, and the easiest.)
