Previous work experience

I have worked all over central Virginia teaching English at both the middle school and high school levels. Most recently, I taught 8th grade in Essex County. I have taught nearly every single secondary grade: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th, including dual enrollment.

Favorite thing about working with students

I love watching students grow as individuals. I get to witness the most formative years of students’ lives, and it's amazing watching each student find their unique identity. I love being a part of that process by expanding their world academically, culturally, and artistically.

When I’m not working, I enjoy:

Running an art group in Richmond that creates a space for artists to invest time into their craft. I'm also an avid writer, I LOVE hiking , and I own a horse, named Duck, who receives all my love (and money!).
